FORMING YOUR TEAM & CREATING YOUR PROJECT
Create a Team of 3-5 members to create one of the projects described
below. Pay attention to taking advantage of diversity on your team.
Submit the names of your team members and a one paragraph project
description to a facilitator before midnight Sunday.
Your team will present the product or results on Day 3. You may use
whatever approaches to this presentation you wish, e.g., live acting,
audience involvement, audio-visual supports such as PowerPoint slides,
video clips, music, etc., whatever the classroom setup provides or you
choose to bring. Please note that it will be important to load or prepare your
technical supports during the lunch break on Day 3 before the evaluation
period begins as each team will have limited time to present.
The results will be evaluated in a 360 degree evaluation process. This means
that your teammates, the facilitators and the rest of the class will each
submit an evaluation. These will be averaged and each member of the team
may be given up to $35.00 as a result of this evaluation. Diversity in your
team will be rewarded by giving each team member $2.00 for each different
country represented on their team.
Below are some suggested approaches to designing and presenting your
project.

SUGGESTIONS FOR DECIDING ON A TEAM PROJECT
1. Adapt a European product or create an imaginary product for the US
market, paying attention to US key values and behaviors. Document why you
made the choices you did. Submit an electronic or paper report and
demonstrate the product or present highlights on Nov 26.
|
|
2. Create an advertisement for a product that appeals to US key values.
You may provide a script, role play it or put it online. Describe how the
values determined what you did in the ad. Submit an electronic or paper
report and show the advertisement on Day 3.
|
3. Design your own team project. Check the project with a
facilitator for
approval, advice and assistance. Submit an electronic or paper report on or
before or on Day 3 when you make your presentation to the class.
