Katrin holds a distinguished MA in Intercultural Communication and a BA in English and French. She is also TEFL-qualified (Cambridge CELTA).
Katrin has taught English as a foreign language with cross-cultural elements to students from diverse backgrounds in the UK, Spain, and in her native Estonia. She has also worked in private and public organizations and is currently an Associate Consultant at George Simons International where she serves as an editor of the diversophy series of games. She is also involved in the diversophy® 3D Campus project in Second Life.
Her research interests include face-to-face communication across cultures, development of cultural competence, the requirements for effective global living, intercultural education strategies and tactics, virtual learning techniques and the exploration of culture as it expresses itself in virtual communication.
