“We exist through intersections, but our conversations about diversity regularly push us to pick one identity for ourselves at the expense of others"

Rohit Bhargava

diversophy’s new game on Intersectionality shares provocative questions about the various perspectives on intersectionality and the different inclusion and exclusion mechanisms they offer. It brings attention to the (mis)use of intersectionality and its role in determining the boundaries of belonging and in creating fixed and long-lasting categories related to ethnicity, gender, social status, and race, to name but a few. The takeaway from this game is that groups  have their own biographies and cultural as well as personal repertoires which are highly complex, multidimensional, and not easily graspable. They are open, permeable, and subject to change and influence as we learn from sharing our stories in response to the game’s questions.
