diversophy® Mental Health & Well Being is designed to raise awareness about the complexity of personal and social well-being by exploring different factors, causes of  and reactions to some of the most common disorders. It will focus on topics such as well-being in schools, workplaces, and the media, while taking into consideration different identities, and generational divides. You will come across questions about the different cultural stances on seeking care. Are certain disorders more attributed to one gender than another? The game will raise discussion on how particular groups of people and diverse cultures understand and deal with the interaction of thinking, feeling, and behavior in the workplace or in everyday life. Mental and physical wellbeing is an incredibly important part of human life, and we are becoming increasingly aware of the long-term negative effects of neglecting one's body and mind. Mental health specifically can play an important role in every person’s life, no matter where you come from, the experiences you go through in your life journey will have an effect on your mental health. A lot of people go through varying states of mental health in the course of their lives, and whilst you may not have consciously and proactively handled the changes, you certainly made strategic decisions to support your healing and recovery..

  • Intercultural Management Masters students from the University of Burgundy. One of the most exciting aspects of collaborative work is having different perspectives work together to co-create something that didn’t exist before. Fortunately, all the members of this group come from different parts of the world: France/USA, Lebanon, South Africa, Morocco, and Germany, which means that we were able to benefit from diverse and interesting perspectives and learnings. Our different walks of life with different experiences of working, living, or studying abroad united us in the Intercultural Management Master’s programme in Dijon, France. We chose diversophy® as our project and were excited to learn and discover how different cultures perceive mental health and how it can affect their daily life. As we come from different countries and localities, we all had different opinions about the topic so discussions and exchanging ideas was a big part of our developing process of this game. We explored different approaches to mental health and multiple aspects, we discussed mental health in the workplace, family, children, and elderly. We tackled difficulties across cultures, and we focused on raising awareness about specific disorders and how to handle situations. This was helpful for each of us and we hope that everyone who plays this game will benefit as well. We are honored to be part of diversophy® team, and would like to thank David Bousquet, researcher, and head of the first year of the Intercultural Management Master’s programme, for this incredible opportunity.
